Vice President of Operations


Steve Nee, Vice President of Operations of Providence Health Group, LLC, has worked in long-term care since 2010.  Steve began his healthcare career working as a Environmental Services Director while he attended graduate school. Steve’s mother, a nurse, sparked his interest in long-term care Administration and encouraged him to use his leadership abilities to assist the geriatric population.

Steve obtained his bachelor’s degree in Business and Organization Management with a minor in Psychology from Maryville College in 2010. Upon graduation, he attended graduate school at Lipscomb University in Nashville where he graduated top in his class with his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) in 2011. In 2013, Steve also completed his graduate certificate in Aging Services Leadership at Lipscomb University.

In 2011, Steve began his Adminsitrator-In-Training (AIT) program with Tennessee Health Management. He became licensed as a Nursing Home Administrator in Tennessee in 2012 . Steve then went on to become a Nursing Home Administrator Preceptor in 2017.

Steve began his administrative career by serving as the Assistant Administrator at a large facility in Nashville, TN in 2012. He soon transitioned into a full-time Administrator position with THM and served as Administrator of Clarksville Nursing and Rehab. Steve held a brief role as an interim-Administrator in 2014 before joining Signature HealthCARE, LLC as the Administrator of their South Pittsburg, TN campus. Steve then went on to hold the role of Administrator at Signature’s Harriman and Fentress County, TN campuses. During his tenure as Administrator with Signature, he has experienced a track record for survey success, financial turnarounds, and helped two of his facilities acquire 5-star CMS status. During his time with Signature HealthCARE, Steve also served as a Nursing Home Administrator Preceptor where he helped train and develop future Administrators.

Steve’s education and background enables him to be a highly effective and compassionate leader.  He has a commitment to personal and professional growth and enjoys mentoring those around him.  Steve resides in Cookeville, Tennessee with his wife, Meredith, and their two children, Atlas and Elowyn.  He enjoys music, DIY projects, and spending time with his family.
