Sue Barnosky

Sue Barnosky, Chief Nursing Officer of Providence Health Group, LLC, first became interested in health care at the age of five when her mother worked at a “County Home” as an LPN. As a child, she loved helping, reading, and being a friend to the elderly. At 17, she became a Certified Nursing Assistant, due to her love for the older adult population.

After several years as a stay-at-home-mom, Sue pursued her love of nursing at Purdue University where she became a Registered Nurse. After graduation, she became a charge nurse of a Medicare Skilled unit. She was soon promoted to be the Director of Nursing of that same facility and has not been able to leave skilled or assisted living nursing since.

In 2006, Sue obtained a Nursing Home Administrator License in Michigan.  Over the years she has worked in all of the positions needed to maintain a skilled nursing facility, with staff vowing to never let her cook oatmeal again.

She earned her BSN in 2012, while working full time. Currently, she maintains RN licenses in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee and West Virginia, as well as maintaining her NHA in Michigan. Her passion remains teaching and mentoring staff, followed closely by Quality Assurance Performance Improvement.

Working with Providence Health Group has given her the opportunity to work in concert with the rest of the team in maintaining quality care and improving the lives of all the residents, family and staff.

Sue, along with her husband Eric, have chosen to make Kentucky their home.  They look forward to enjoying rural benefits of the Bluegrass State.
